Avante at Harrisonburg, a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility is seeking a Virginia licensed Assistant Director of Nursing to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility and other duties as directed by the Director of Nursing. Provides managerial and/or clinical support to patients and staff within the Nursing department. Supervises employees and participates in selection, orientation, counseling, evaluation and staff scheduling. Demonstrates effective communication skills, problem solving, and conflict resolution in the management of the assigned department. Serves as a resource person to patients, families, physicians and staff in interpreting department /hospital/system policy, facilitating medical and nursing care. Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with VA state licensure Must speak and understand English Must be able to supervise and instruct others Previous supervisory experience Positive attitude toward the elderly
