Mr. Edward L. Campbell Jr., 81 years old, is from Kansas City,
Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City Law
School and under suggestion by a friend, interviewed and was hired by
the FBI in 1954. In 1956 he was authorized to practice before the U.S.
Supreme Court.
While he spent some time in the Charlotte, Raleigh, Boston and Louisville FBI offices, the majority of his service years were in the Washington DC area. He eventually was promoted to Deputy Assistant Director of FBI training. Mr. Campbell spent many years investigating some of the nation’s top ten most wanted criminals and was also on scene at some of the nation’s most famous airline crashes as an investigator. Mr. Campbell retired in 1978 and spent many years building recreation rooms in Northern Virginia. His room is decorated with years of memories from his patriotic service to his country.
Mr. Campbell is a resident at Sentara Nursing Center – Virginia Beach where he has resided since January 2009.
