Mr. Mark Richard Knowles, 76 years old, has had an illustrious
humanitarian career. He was active in the health care field for over 45
years and has directed organizations such as the American Blood
Commission, the National Eye Foundation and chapter services for the
American Red Cross.
Mr. Knowles was Director of the State Health Planning Council in Ohio and was also elected to the Board of Trustees of the American Nurses Foundation, Inc., a position formally held exclusively by Registered Nurses. He received Boston University’s Distinguished Service Award for his contribution in the field of health care management.
Mr. Knowles has Master Degrees in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh and Public Relations and Sociology from Boston University.
Mr. Knowles is a resident at Heritage Hall – Leesburg where he has resided since December 2006.
