Mr.
Joseph Anthony Giovanelli is 81 years old. Blind since birth, he is an
accomplished pianist and active music volunteer for residents at Our
Lady of Peace, University of Virginia Hospital and the Charlottesville
community. Mr. Giovanelli’s top priority is clear to all he meets -
helping others. His music has touched the lives of many, as well as his
positive outlook on life and care and concern for his neighbors and
friends.
He anxiously awaits the release of his first book entitled Let There Be Light – The Inspirational Achievements of a Man Born Blind. The book is sure to inspire readers by illustrating Mr. Giovanelli’s initiative and perseverance throughout his 81 years. For example, his self-taught pianist skills after being “thrown out” of music lessons in school and his successful years in the recording field.
Mr. Joe Giovanelli is a resident at Our Lady of Peace in Charlottesville where he has resided since July 2005.
