Heatherwood Retirement Community

Mr. Frank Eaton, 77 years old, was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He was adopted by loving parents and as a child traveled to France where his mother’s family lived. After the 11th grade, he moved to France where he assisted with the care of his grandfather and attended the National Conservatory of Music for four years.

Mr. Eaton returned to the United States and studied music at the Mannes School of Music in New York City. He then moved to California with his family and studied at California Western University and Colorado State. During summer breaks, he worked with the U.S. Forest Service fighting forest fires.

Mr. Eaton became a Deputy Sheriff in Sacramento, California after an Army tour. Then he received his Bachelor of Art degree and served as a Special Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). While at the DEA, Mr. Eaton was an agent stationed in Brussels, Belgium where his job required many undercover cases throughout Europe and the United States. His service as an undercover agent included cocaine busts totaling millions of dollars, interaction with global drug runners and other characters such as General Manuel Noriega.

Mr. Eaton ended his career with the DEA in San Diego where he served as a DEA Supervisor and received numerous awards. After retirement with the DEA, Mr. Eaton remained in San Diego where he was employed by the San Diego District Attorney’s (D.A.) Office as a Criminal Investigator in the Family Protection Unit. Mr. Eaton received Investigator of the Year from the D.A.’s office.

Mr. Frank Eaton is a resident of Heatherwood Retirement Community in Burke where he has resided since June 2010.
