The Virginia Center for Assisted Living (VCAL) is the assisted living arm of the Virginia Health Care Association, the state's largest organization representing long term care providers. Diversification and demand have brought rapid growth to assisted living, and with this growth comes increased need for support, education and information. In November, 1998, the Association responded to these needs, unique to assisted living, by creating VCAL.
