Overview
Virginia Health Care Association-Virginia Center for Assisted Living (VHCA-VCAL) is partnering with Judy Wilhide Brandt to present two workshops on MDS designed for MDS coordinators and interdisciplinary team members who need to know more about the ins and outs of MDS. Offerings include a two-day Basic Part I Workshop March 10-11 and a two-day Basic Part II Workshop March 31-April 1. Space is limited.

- SNF Value Based Purchasing
- SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP), including coding for sections only on Medicare assessments for QRP and the Part A PPS Discharge
- Medicare Patient-driven Payment Model (PDPM)

- Virginia State Case Mix
Who Should Register?
The two-day MDS Basic Part II Workshop is designed for MDS coordinators who have been on the job for at least six weeks and have a basic understanding of coding the MDS. This session will explore the ramifications of accurate coding.

VHCA-VCAL Cancellation & Refund Policies
The administrator of a center has the ability to cancel without a penalty if federal or state surveyors/inspectors are in a center. Cancellations for credit card payments are subject to a 10% service fee. Refunds will be granted as follows: full refund if received by the specified registration deadline; one-half of the registration fee if cancellation received three working days prior to the scheduled event. No refunds or credits will be granted if cancellation is received after the three working days deadline. Substitutions are always welcome.
