Diane Taylor is the kind of person who lights up a room. She loves people, loves conversation, and never misses a chance to make someone smile. If you’re looking for her, you’ll probably find her chatting with friends, sharing stories, or laughing during an activity. Diane calls herself a “social butterfly,” and everyone who knows her agrees. Her favorite activity? Bingo—hands down. Diane never misses a game and says the thrill of calling out “Bingo!” never gets old. She also enjoys outings, whether it’s a special event in the center or a day out on the town. “Those days make me feel free,” she says with a grin.
But what really makes Diane shine is her daily routine. Every morning, she gets ready with care. She puts on her makeup, chooses her jewelry, and slips into her favorite red sweater. “It makes me feel good,” she says. “I like to look nice for myself and for my friends.” That little touch of glamour is part of what makes Diane, Diane.
When Diane first arrived at Bland Nursing and Rehab several years ago, she was nervous. “I didn’t know what to expect,” she remembers. But those worries didn’t last long. She quickly found friendship, laughter, and a sense of belonging that turned her life around. “This is my home now,” Diane says. “I love the staff and my friends. They’re like family to me.”
