Mr. William HallMr. William has served in the Marine Corps, assisted with fire and rescue squads, and retired from a long career with the post office. Of all of the accomplishments of Mr. Bill’s life, the one most important to him was getting the chance to be married to the most wonderful woman in the world. He describes his late wife, Marjorie Hall, as truly an angel from heaven. “There were so many wonderful things about that woman, it’s hard to choose just one.” Married just shy of 45 years, Mr. Bill knows they are soul mates and celebrates the blessing of spending so much time with her.

The Marine Corps gave him a sense of confidence in himself and served as a source of strength he needed later in life. Working fire and rescue was extremely challenging! The ultimate reward of saving lives and helping others was what motivated him all along. By far the hardest challenge Bill has ever faced was losing Marjorie in March 2020. Mr. Bill shares this advice: “Let others know how you feel while you still can.” He believes communication on all levels is so important with everyone. “You never know if you’ll get a second chance to express yourself.”

Therapy at Aarondale has given him different modes to continue his life practices more safely and correctly and helps Mr. Bill prioritize his continued independence. He has practiced walking on uneven surfaces, getting in and out of a car safely, and increasing his walking endurance.

Mr. Bill is a friendly face, compassionate individual, appreciative personality, and overall great guy. He enjoys attending many life enrichment programs but mostly enjoys our RUI University class called Feet to the Fire Writers Workshop. He has shared stories of topics ranging from bike rides as a child gone wrong, to train rides with his wife, to his favorite day, his wedding day. Mr. Bill’s playful personality is such a delight to have spreading cheer to all staff and peers he comes into contact with. He is loved by all.
