February 26 is the deadline for nursing facilities to complete and submit their Fair Rental Value (FRV) form and supporting documentation. The information is used to reimburse a facility’s building, land, and equipment costs—without the report, the capital rate for your facility will be set to zero effective July 1, 2021.

Facilities should us the CY 2020 FRV Reporting Form found on the DMAS Nursing Facilities webpage under Cost Reporting and Case Mix Information.

Completed reports should be loaded along with supporting documentation, into eDocManagement by February 26, 2021 for Myers and Stauffer LC (MSLC) to retrieve. Please place the reporting form in the eDocManagement folder labeled “Cost Report Filing PBP/Doc Type- FRV Reporting Form.” MSLC will settle this report and notify your facility of its FY 2022 FRV rate by the end of May. 

In accordance with 12VAC30-90-37(A)(2), if the FRV Report for CY 2020 is not received by April 1, 2021, the capital rate for your facility will be set to zero effective July 1, 2021. The rate will remain zero until 90 days after the date the FRV Report is received.
