General Assembly Update: Awaiting Action on the Budget

What’s happening: The 2024 General Assembly session is scheduled to adjourn on Saturday, March 9 contingent on the House of Delegates and Senate finalizing their work on the budget.
- News reports indicate that the budget conferees will release the details on the budget compromise later today. We will relay any details as they become available.
- As the negotiators met over the last week, VHCA-VCAL members and staff met with all 12 of the budget conferees to emphasize the need for Medicaid Value-Based Program funding at the House funding levels.
