We are sad to inform you of the passing of Al Shrieves on June 29. He was the chief financial officer of Virginia Health Services, chairman of the VHCA-VCAL Payment for Services Committee, and former member of the association’s board of directors. He served Virginia Health Services for three decades and was a dedicated member of VHCA-VCAL and advocate for long term care.

Keith Hare, VHCA-VCAL President and CEO reflected, “It was always great having Al visit the VHCA-VCAL office or an education program.  When discussing tough issues, you could count on him to bring a wealth of knowledge and to keep everyone smiling. Al will be dearly missed.”
