Administrator Kate Maerki hosted Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-10) for a tour at Manassas Health & Rehab on April 15. In reflecting on the tour, Maerki commented, “After attending the Legislative Conference and hosting Congresswoman Wexton, I see the value in being more politically involved and representing the industry.” Maerki noted Wexton’s openness to hearing about the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. After spotlighting the services Manassas Health and Rehab provides in its dementia care, they spent time discussing mental and behavioral health issues, an area of interest for the congresswoman.
