NCAL Launches Facts & Figures Site

ncal-111716NCAL’s new Fact & Figures webpage includes high level data points on assisted living communities, finance, residents, and workforce. Most of the data comes from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics, along with information from Genworth, CMS, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and other organizations.  NCAL plans to build upon this new site with more state-level data over time.

One important source of data is the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics, which has launched the third wave of the National Study of Long-Term Care Providers (NSLTCP).  This biennial national study of the major sectors of paid, regulated providers of long term care services includes data from a representative sample of assisted living and similar residential care communities.

If your residential care community is contacted, make your voice heard by participating in the study. NCHS has contracted with RTI International, an independent, nonprofit research organization, to collect 2016 NSLTCP data. If you have questions about completing the questionnaire, or received a questionnaire packet in the mail but no longer have it or cannot find it, please contact the NSLTCP Help Desk today at 1-866-245-8078. For more information please visit the NSLTCP website.
