New Staffing/Workforce Social Media Toolkit Available

VHCA-VCAL has launched a digital campaign as part of our advocacy efforts to build awareness of the workforce crisis and support for funding the long term care workforce pipeline. This effort will also help us address staffing ratio legislation in the General Assembly session, which begins next week. We have created a Staffing/Workforce Social Media Toolkit members can use to assist us with these efforts.

Our strategies for this campaign are to generate public support for funding the workforce pipeline by pointing out the current dramatic workforce shortage. This message will also enhance the realization that staffing standards would serve to exacerbate the workforce shortage.

The Staffing/Workforce Social Media Toolkit includes sample posts and graphics you can use on your organization’s social channels, as well as best practices and recommendations for posting. The sample posts and related graphics are flexible for use across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Please share the toolkit with your team members responsible for social media.

We would also encourage you and your organizations to like and share content posted on VHCA-VCAL’s social channels. This makes our messages more visible to more individuals. As the General Assembly session gets underway, we will also be employing a paid digital ad campaign to drive individuals participate in a grassroots effort to send messages to legislators. We will send you updates about those efforts and will be asking you and your staff to send messages as well.
