Program Descriptions
CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule: From Assessment to Readiness
August 1 | 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
During the emergency preparedness program, Virginia Department of Health experts and others will deliver you details on the four required elements of your emergency preparedness plan: risk assessment and planning; policies and procedures; communications plan; and training and testing. The program will conclude with a facilitated discussion about best practices for responding to an emergency from a career health care safety and security expert.
Bringing the New Requirements of Participation into Focus
August 22 | 10:00 am – 4:30 pm
August 23 | 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Over 2 days, our panel of experts will help you take a comprehensive look at the new certification regulations, State Operations Manual guidance to surveyors, and new survey process for nursing centers. The goal of this program is to bring into focus the complexities of the Requirements of Participation (ROP) regulations and surveyor expectations for long term care providers. This program will assist you in prioritizing opportunities for both compliance and improved outcomes.
