Please share with your staff the news that the application deadline for the 2019 Regirer Nursing Scholarship has been extended to June 3. Encourage your staff members who want to pursue their LPN or RN degrees and continue to work in long term care to apply. The scholarships are awarded to employees of VHCA-VCAL member nursing center and assisted living communities based on need and commitment to long term care. The application is available on our website at www.vhca.org/scholarship.

About the Regirer Nursing Scholarship 

VHCA-VCAL’s Commonwealth Long Term Care Foundation awards nursing scholarships annually to employees in VHCA-VCAL member nursing centers and assisted living communities who want to become LPNs and RNs and continue working in long term care. 

Through a generous gift by Walter and Maria Teresa Regirer, along with other fundraising efforts by VHCA-VCAL members, the Commonwealth Long Term Care Foundation is able to offer a select number of $1,500 nursing education scholarships to qualified individuals each year.
