What’s new: DMAS has posted performance data for three metrics (days without eight RN hours, pressure ulcers, and urinary tract infections) used in the Medicaid Nursing Facility Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Program.

• Some managed care organizations have begun issuing the attainment and performance improvement payments for these metrics.

For your radar: DMAS has informed VHCA-VCAL that staffing ratio payments will be made in June with the two claims-based metric payments (number of hospitalizations per 1,000 long-stay resident days and number of outpatient ED visits per 1,000 long-stay resident days).
