VHCA-VCAL’s advocacy work on behalf of long term care providers is a year-round job.  While the General Assembly session may get most of the attention, the meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session can have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates. 

We’ll be using this space to highlight VHCA-VCAL staff and leadership’s participation in meetings and events that are critical to the profession.

• 7/13—47 individuals attended the auris: Containment Strategy for Infection Prevention in LTCFs webinar.
• 7/13—Participated in the kickoff meeting of the DMAS Nursing Facility Value-Based Purchasing Stakeholder Group.
• 7/13—Attended a political fundraiser for Sen. Janet Howell (D-Reston).
• 7/15—20 individuals attended The Great Reset education webinar led by with HealthPRO® Heritage’s Chief Clinical Strategies Officer Hilary Forman and SVP of Business Development David Mercugliano.
