Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 9/26—Met with the Board of Nursing to discuss the use of Temporary Nurse Aides.
• 9/27—62 individuals attended the CMS SNF Payment Final Rule Webinar.
• 9/27—Participated in a meeting of the Brain Injury Services Workgroup.
• 9/28—Met with DMAS leaders to discuss ongoing priorities for nursing facilities.
• 9/29—Briefed the Lucy Corr Health Center Commission on the Medicaid Value-Based Purchasing Program.
• 9/29—Participated in a political fundraiser for Del. Patrick Hope (D-Arlington).
• 9/30—Participated in a political fundraiser for Sen. Siobhan Dunnavant (R-Henrico).
• 9/30—Attended the AHCA webinar on the CDC and CMS COVID-19 Guidance Changes.
