Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

Take a look at our outreach and advocacy work for the week of July 24, 2023.  

• 7/24—Attended a political fundraiser for Sen. Louis Lucas (D-Portsmouth).
• 7/25—Keith Hare toured the new dialysis den at Coliseum Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and attended a Virginia Health Services board of directors meeting.
• 7/25—Participated in a VDH LTC Provider Advisory call.
• 7/25—Attended a virtual meeting of the AHCA/NCAL Quality Improvement Committee.
• 7/27—114 attended the RAI Changes for October 1, 2023 education program.
• 7/28—Attended the July meeting of the APIC Virginia board meeting.
