Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 2/12—Keith Hare attended ECAP in Miami to present as part of a state roundtable session.
• 2/14—Met with Del. Mark Sickles (D-Fairfax) to discuss VHCA-VCAL’s budget priorities.
• 2/14—Participated in a meeting of AHCA/NCAL’s Survey/Regulatory Committee.
• 2/15—Monitored the Senate Education and Health Committee meeting.
• 2/15—Met with DMAS to discuss Medicaid rebasing issues.
• 2/16—Monitored the Senate Education and Health Committee’s health professions subcommittee meeting.
