Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 8/25—Attended a political fundraiser for Del. Terry Kilgore (R-Scott County).
• 8/25—Participated in the biweekly conference call for AHCA/NCAL state affiliate staff.
• 8/27—Attended a meeting with state and healthcare stakeholders on combating MDROs.
• 8/27—Provided an update on the association’s advocacy work at the August Healthcare 2025 Summit.
