VHCA-VCAL This Week
VHCA-VCAL’s advocacy work on behalf of long term care providers is a year-round job. While the General Assembly session may get most of the attention, the meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session can have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates.
We’ll be using this space to highlight VHCA-VCAL staff and leadership’s participation in meetings and events that are critical to the profession.
Take a look at our outreach and advocacy work for the week of February 11, 2019.
- 2/11—Met with HQI to discuss shared priorities for quality improvement.
- 2/12—Participated in the biweekly CCC Plus claims processing conference calls with Anthem and Virginia Premier.
- 2/12-13—Over 160 members attended the annual Legislative Conference at the Omni Richmond Hotel.
- 2/13—Participated in the biweekly CCC Plus claims processing conference calls with Magellan and United.
- 2/14—Participated in the biweekly CCC Plus claims processing conference calls with Aetna and Optima.
- 2/14—April Payne briefed staff from Traditions Senior Management at Carrington Place at Botetourt in Daleville on the PASRR Level 1 screening requirements.
- 2/14—Met with Office of Licensure and Certification staff to discuss Life Safety Code inspections.
- 2/15—Participated in a webinar hosted by DMAS for the CCC Plus Managed Care Organizations on Part A pricing for nursing facility claims.
