We are a Skilled Nursing Facility with 120-beds that include a rehabilitation unit and long term care units as well as an Assisted Living Facility. Our facility is currently undergoing renovations to modernize not only our look, but also our equipment and resources.

We are currently hiring a Full-Time Clinical Unit Manager Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the Virginia Beach area.

  • Candidates must possess current certifications and Virginia Board of Nursing licenses
  • Progressive management experience working with a nursing and medical team
  • Preferred candidates will possess a minimum 3 years experience in Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Preferred candidates will possess a minimum 2 years experience working with the elderly in Nursing Homes


  • Serves as administrative authority for the smooth function of unit. Notifies Administrator, Director of Nursing, or Assistant Director of Nursing of urgent concerns and operations.
  • Receives employee, resident and family grievances with concern and empathy
  • Refers information to Administrator, Director of Nursing, or Assistant Director of Nursing.
  • Assists in survey compliance, quality assurance and staff development duties, as assigned. Notifies Administrator, Director of Nursing, or Assistant Director of Nursing and staff development coordinator of identified learning needs
  • Supervises staff and assures survey compliance on a daily basis. Provides guidance and support to staff to better plan work flow.
  • Providing direct patient and general nursing care in accordance with state, federal, and other regulations.
  • Documents and communicates effectively for the best patient care.
  • Assists in assuring that effective communication exists with nursing staff, patient and family members as reflected in the plan of care.
  • Work collaboratively to oversee the operation of other members of the health care team in coordination of the patient’s care as evidenced by other department feedback.
  • Respects patient confidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Counsels personnel, as indicated. Completes appropriate documentation and communicates with Administrator, Director of Nursing, or Assistant Director of Nursing.
  • Maintains proficiency with computer scheduling system. Assists with scheduling as assigned.
  • Works with the staffing schedule and nurse managers to assure that vacancies are filled in advance.
