Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 7/31—Met with representatives of the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association to discuss LTSS Screenings.
• 8/2—Attended a meeting of the Long Term Care Meeting Planners group.
• 8/2-4—Keith Hare attended the American Society of Health Care Administration Executives (ASHCAE) meeting for AHCA/NCAL state affiliate leaders in Oceanside, CA.
• 8/3—Participated in the monthly call for NCAL state affiliate staff.
• 8/3—Attended the VDH Post-Acute Care Committee meeting.
• 8/3—Monitored the Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Committee meeting.
