Celebrating caregivers: VHCA-VCAL is excited to join forces with Ceca for Celebrating America’s Care Force, a national initiative that uses effective storytelling to highlight the invaluable contributions of care workers across the continuum of care in nursing centers, senior living communities, and more.

• Share stories of caring through Ceca’s Celebrating America’s Care Force As part of the effort, Ceca will be honoring select caregivers with awards of up to $2,500. The deadline to submit stories for consideration for this year’s awards is January 16, 2026.

Why it matters: We know that people are the backbone of the American care industry, but we must also acknowledge that caregivers provide critical services under challenging and often stressful conditions.

• Thus, Ceca believes deeply that caregivers’ contributions are worth honoring and that the industry is worth celebrating.
