Flying high: RUI and The Hidenwood helped a beloved resident and Navy veteran get a chance to see Yorktown from a new perspective in a seaplane ride.

• The trip was part of RUI’s WOW Moment initiative that creates personalized moments for residents that allow them to reminisce on times past, create new memories, or be honored in some way. WVEC, Norfolk’s ABC affiliate, covered the special day.

Resident spotlight: Frank Coffen served in the US Navy and also worked in the Newport News Shipyard for decades. The Hidenwood team wanted to offer him a new adventure as he lives with dementia today.
