Board Nominations Due July 1

boardYou have the opportunity to nominate yourself or another member to serve on the VHCA-VCAL Board of Directors for the 2017-2018 term, which begins on January 1, 2017.  The Board of Directors meets quarterly to manage the affairs of the association and provide strategic direction for VHCA-VCAL initiatives.

The board will have openings for the following positions:

  • Not-for-Profit Director
  • Assisted Living Director
  • At-Large Director
  • Associate Director (representing associate members)

In addition, the current officers of the association are all completing their one-year terms.  Officers are eligible to be nominated to serve a second one-year term or additional nominations for these positions may be made.

  • Chairman: Vernon Baker, Dogwood Village of Orange County
  • Vice Chairman: David Tucker, CCR
  • Secretary/Treasurer: Robbie Dalton, American HealthCare, LLC
  • Immediate Past Chairman: David Abraham, Beth Sholom Village

Any VHCA-VCAL member interested in being considered for these positions should send a letter addressed to:

The letter should state the position you are seeking and why you want to serve.  Please attach your resume or other background material.  You may also email your letter and related materials to Keith Hare.  All nominations are due by July 1, 2016.

Election of new VHCA-VCAL board members will be held during the VHCA-VCAL Annual Membership Meeting, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at The Omni Homestead Resort.
