Situational Awareness – Air Quality Impacts Caused by Canadian Wildfires
Unhealthy air conditions are affecting Virginia and large swaths of the U.S. because of Canadian wildfires.
- DSS has shared a memo noting that VDH, the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, and the Regional Healthcare Coalitions are working with partner agencies/organizations to assess the impacts to the healthcare delivery system across the Commonwealth.
Please notify your Regional Healthcare Coalition if you experience any emergency conditions including but not limited to patient surge or facility impacts caused by the smoke plume.
