Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 2/16-20—Hosted the Introduction to Activity Management in LTC course.
• 2/17—Met with Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services Lauryn Walker to discuss VHCA-VCAL’s priorities.
• 2/18—Attended the Black and White Gala hosted by Speaker of the House of Delegates Don Scott (D-Portsmouth).
• 2/18—Participated in the monthly AHCA/NCAL state affiliate network meeting.
