Recording of AHCA/NCAL Webinar on Health Care “Repeal and Replace” Legislation

A recording of the AHCA/NCAL webinar about the Medicaid reform provisions included in the “repeal and replace” of Obamacare legislation introduced in Congress this week is now available for members only (ahcancalED registration log in required). During the webinar recorded on March 7, AHCA/NCAL staff provided an overview of the proposed changes to Medicaid and summarized issues and concerns for our profession. The 40 minute-long session outlines next steps in the legislative process and what you can do to help ensure our success.  AHCA/NCAL remains very concerned about the House health care reform bill, specifically the Medicaid provisions in it.

Seven VHCA-VCAL members and staff including Chairman Vernon Baker and Vice Chairman David Tucker will be part of the AHCA/NCAL DC fly-in on March 21-22 to share their concerns on how these proposals will impact long term care supports and services directly with Virginia’s Congressional delegation.

What else can you do?

  • It is quick and easy to send a message.  Ask them to preserve Medicaid for those who need it most.  You can also share this link with your employees. We need everyone to participate in the grassroots campaign so that we can make an impact.
