Did your facility feel unprepared to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic? Do you wish you had the opportunity to practice or talk through what you would do in an infectious disease outbreak scenario? 

• Don’t get caught off guard again. VDH and community partners will be conducting nine Community-Based Emergency Response Seminars (CBERS) across Virginia this spring.
• Join VDH and others to come together and learn the fundamentals of designing a training exercise. Exercises are designed to engage team members by working together to manage a response to an emergency.

How it will work: The free one-day training will be offered in nine locations across Virginia between March 28 and June 7.

• Steps in developing an emergency preparedness training exercise 
• Participate in a table-top exercise 
• Steps for developing an after-action report 
• Virginia reporting requirements for incidents or events that impact public health
