For context: On April 10, 2023, CMS issued a proposed rule to update Medicare payment policies and rates for skilled nursing facilities under the Skilled Nursing Facility Prospective Payment System (SNF PPS) for fiscal year (FY) 2024 .

• The rule includes proposals for the SNF Quality Reporting Program (QRP) and the SNF Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Program.
• Updated policies for the SNF VBP Program are available in the FY 2024 SNF PPS Proposed Rule (See pages 21361–21399).
