Our final education program of 2019 will focus on trauma-informed care, a Requirements of Participation Phase 3 element. Barbara Speedling will use an interactive approach for the day long program, Trauma-Informed Care: Achieving Compliance in Behavioral Health, to help you understand these regulations and make sure your center is fully prepared to care for residents with complex psychosocial needs.

Beyond differentiating between dementia and psychiatric illness or addictions, it is critical that you and your staff have a working knowledge of the interventions and services necessary to achieve quality care for a rapidly changing population. Speedling will offer an overview of the regulatory expectations and insight into staff recruitment, education and oversight, assessment and care planning, service development, and therapeutic activity interventions to address a broad range of behavioral health needs.
