DMAS sent a letter in error to some Medicaid members regarding “Premium Payment for Managed Care Organization and Estate Recovery.” The agency has mailed beneficiaries a letter acknowledging the error and asked VHCA-VCAL members to help distribute this information as they have direct contact with residents.

The letter from DMAS instructs recipients to disregard the initial letter and to contact the agency if the member took steps to cancel coverage because of the letter.
