Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 4/8—Berea Health and Rehab hosted a facility tour for Rep. Eugen Vindman (D-VA-07).
• 4/9—Held a monthly check-in meeting with DMAS on the Medicaid Value-Based Purchasing Program.
• 4/10—Met with Secretary of Health and Human Resources Marvin Figueroa to discuss VHCA-VCAL member priorities.
