Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 10/4—Attended a political fundraiser for Del. Jeff Bourne (D-Richmond)
• 10/5—Monitored the Joint Commission on Health Care meeting.
• 10/6–Participated in a meeting on DMAS’s Inter-rater Reliability study.
