It’s National Volunteer Week—the perfect time to thank those individuals in your community who give of their time and talents to enrich the lives of your residents.  It’s also the perfect time to nominate your favorite volunteers for a VHCA-VCAL Volunteer of the Year Award in the teen, adult, and group categories. 

New this year, you have the option to prepare and submit your nominations electronically.  In addition to the Volunteer of the Year awards, help us recognize deserving individuals and programs in the following categories: 

• Recognition Awards  – Honoring lifetime achievement, administrators, director of nursing, and CNA of the year
• D.A. “Woody” Brown Community Involvement Awards  – Recognizing outstanding activity and event programs (Year Round Public Relations, National Skilled Nursing Care Week or National Assisted Living Week Program, Special Event Program, and Facility Newsletter)

The deadline for all submissions is June 1.  Winners will be announced at the Awards Banquet during the Convention and Trade Show at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center on September 26, 2018.
