ICYMI: Be sure to review this recent memo from DSS on the agency’s revised process for issuing inspection documents to assisted living facilities and adult day centers.

• Effective February 1, 2026, the Division of Licensing Programs will provide the inspection documents as a PDF document on the day of the scheduled exit meeting for provider review and signature. This PDF will serve as the sole copy issued to providers.
• Requests for a problem-solving conference must be made within 15 days of the exit meeting per 22VAC40-80-260.

Of note, the agency will no longer be giving providers a Word version of inspection documents prior to the exit meeting. The change is intended to increase efficiency.
