Flu Activity in Virginia Classified as Widespread
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) notes that flu activity is currently widespread in Virginia. During the week ending January 5, VDH investigated a flu outbreak at an assisted living facility (ALF).
As a reminder, ALFs have an obligation to report outbreaks of the flu and other diseases to help epidemiologists monitor and track the spread of disease.
