June 28 deadlines: There is still time to encourage your staff to apply for Regirer Nursing Scholarships and to submit your nominations for VHCA-VCAL’s annual awards honoring LTC professionals, activity programming, and volunteers.

• Encourage your staff who want to earn their nursing degrees to apply for the scholarships of up to $2,000.
• Tell us about the amazing individuals who work in your community—remember we honor an assisted living administrator of the year, in addition to CNAs, DONs, and more.

Regirer Nursing Scholarships: Each year VHCA-VCAL’s Commonwealth Long Term Care Foundation awards scholarships to employees in VHCA-VCAL member nursing centers and assisted living communities who want to become LPNs or RNs and continue their careers in long term care.

• 2024 Regirer Nursing Scholarship applications are due by June 28, 2024.

• The Recognition Awards offered in five categories honor individuals for lifetime achievement, administrator, DONs, and CNAs of the year.
• The D.A. “Woody” Brown Community Involvement Awards offered in three categories honor outstanding activity and event programs.
• The Volunteer of the Year Awards recognize the outstanding efforts of adult, teen, and group volunteers.
