Medication Administration and ISPs Lead the Top 10 ALF Deficiencies List
Citations for medication administration and Individualized Service Plans (ISP) account for 57% of the violations found in Virginia’s assisted living facilities (ALF) from January 1- March 31, 2018. This is a continuation of the trend seen in prior quarters. The latest list of most cited deficiencies in Virginia’s ALFs combines inspections conducted under the prior regulatory structure, 22 VAC 40-72 and the new standards for assisted living facilities, 22 VAC 40-73.
