Top 10 ALF Deficiencies: July – September 2017
The most cited deficiencies in Virginia’s assisted living facilities (ALF) for the fourth consecutive quarter are again related to Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and medication administration.
Of the 318 facilities inspected from July 1 – September 30, 2017, the Department of Social Services (DSS) cited the following:
- 49 deficiencies cited under 22VAC40-72-(6)-440-C: Individualized service plans – reflecting assessed needs, and
- 36 deficiencies cited under 22VAC40-72-(6)-670-C: Administration of medications and related provisions – medication administration.
