VHCA-VCAL Awards – Nominations due June 1, 2018

• D.A. “Woody” Brown Community Involvement Awards  – Recognizing outstanding activity and event programs
• Recognition Awards  – Honoring lifetime achievement, administrators, director of nursing, and CNA of the year
• Volunteer of the Year Awards  – Thanking teen, adult, and group volunteers at member centers

The 2018 awards will be presented at the VHCA-VCAL Convention on September 26 at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center.

AHCA/NCAL Awards – Nominations due June 8, 2018

AHCA is now accepting entries for its AHCA Awards Program. AHCA honors individuals who are committed to improving the quality of life for residents. The categories are as follows:

• ID/DD Hero of the Year
• Not for Profit Trustee of the Year
• Not for Profit Program of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
  • Young Adult (Ages 13-19)
  • Adult
  • Group

Nomination packages for the AHCA/NCAL Awards

In a change from previous years, Volunteer of the Year nominations may be submitted directly by centers in good standing with the state affiliate. All nominations are due by Friday, June 8 at 11:59 pm.

This is a great opportunity to recognize those who go above and beyond on the national stage. Honorees will be recognized at AHCA/NCAL’s 69th Annual Annual Convention and & Expo in San Diego.

Recipients (and one guest) receive a FREE trip to AHCA/NCAL’s 69th Annual Convention & Expo in San Diego, CA, October 7-10, 2018. Each will be honored in front of their peers during NCAL Day and the Closing General Session of the Convention.
