The memo improves the ability for nursing home residents to receive visitors. CMS emphasizes the importance of maintaining infection prevention practices, given the continued risk of COVID-19 transmission.
AHCA/NCAL has expanded its #GetVaccinated campaign, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to encourage long term care facility staff to receive COVID-19 vaccines. Staff from VHCA-VCAL member Friendship are featured in the new campaign materials explaining why they got vaccinated.
