Hear from Regirer Nursing Scholarship recipients in their own words:

Courtney Williams I would like to express how honored I am to be the recipient of the 2016 Regirer Nursing Scholarship. Your support has helped me tremendously overcome financial obstacles of being a college student. I am forever grateful for your confidence and willingness to help me achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a registered nurse.

Beverly Kamara Receiving the 2015 Regirer Nursing Scholarship helped to make my dream of becoming a nurse turn into reality, without the help of this generous scholarship I would have been unable to attend nursing school especially with the family obligations that I have.
– Thank you, Beverly Kamara

Rhonda Kuhn I deeply appreciate the scholarship offered to me from the Virginia Health Care Association. It was wonderful for this organization to recognize me for my passion in caring for God’s most vulnerable children, the geriatric population. Working in long-term care and being a full-time student entails a lot of responsibility to me, but through this scholarship, I felt my work and caring attitude was being recognized in the midst of perhaps the most stressful years of my life.
– Rhonda Kuhns, LPN-RN nursing student

The Regirer Nursing Scholarship really helped with the additional expenses that RN school requires. I was able to use the scholarship for tuition, materials for class, and anything extra that came up that I would need for school. I am so thankful!

For as long as I can remember, nursing was a profession that I longed to be involved with. One of the most important things in completing my goal of becoming a registered nurse is a college education. Knowing that financial aid doesn’t help or apply to everyone and the cost of tuition and books goes up every year, I knew I had to do something. I applied for any and every scholarship I knew about and worked every chance I could. When I received the congratulations letter in the mail from the Virginia Health Care Association I became overwhelmed with joy!
