Reminder: DMAS is still collecting responses to its survey related to the Medicaid Nursing Facility Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) program.

• This survey supports a Virginia General Assembly requirement that DMAS evaluate the NF VBP program, including how nursing facilities are utilizing the quality incentive payments received through the program.
• DMAS has extended the deadline for responses until September 4, 2026.

How to find the survey: On August 14, 2026, DMAS sent the following email to providers

DMAS requests that facilities complete the survey no later than August 28, 2026. The survey contains six questions and should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

VHCA-VCAL encourages all nursing facilities to participate. Facility feedback will help inform DMAS’s evaluation of the VBP program and future discussions regarding program effectiveness and potential improvements.
