Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 86-7—Hosted the final two session of the Navigating Through the Weeds: Get All Your Cannabis Questions Answered webinar series.
• 8/7—Participated in AHCA/NCAL’s biweekly update for constituency councils.
• 8/8—Met with DMAS leaders to discuss the Medicaid Value-Based Purchasing Program.
• 8/8—Attended the monthly Access to Mental Health Work Group meeting hosted by the Virginia Nurses Association.
