Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 11/28—Participated in the bi-weekly AHCA/NCAL call for state affiliate staff.
• 11/29—Attended a political fundraiser for Sen. Gazala Hashmi (R-Chesterfield).
• 11/29—Briefed Eastern Healthcare Group on the LTSS Screening requirements.
• 11/30—VHCA PAC hosted a political fundraiser for Speaker of the House of Delegates Todd Gilbert (R-Shenandoah).
• 12/1—Attended a political fundraiser for Del. Matt Fariss (R-Campbell).
• 12/1—Participated in the NCAL state affiliate staff monthly call.
• 12/1—Participated in DMAS’s Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Committee Meeting.
• 12/2— Attended a political fundraiser for Sen. Steve Newman (R-Lynchburg).
• 12/2—August Healthcare at Richmond hosted a facility tour for Sen. Siobhan Dunnavant (R-Henrico).
